Whilst we welcome
applications from doctors already in the UK, the majority of
our RMOs come from overseas. We therefore place a
great deal of emphasis on the support we offer to doctors
who are relocating.
Getting you here and settled
Moving abroad can be expensive and fraught with difficulties.
Our experienced team at NES will make it an easy and enjoyable
experience for you. Let us deal with the red tape, so all
you have to think about is where you would like to be based.
Once you have registered with us, and prior to job application,
we can help you refine your CV. We also help arrange a UK bank
account and will assist you with obtaining your National
Insurance number and tax code (this helps in the retrieval
of over-paid tax!).
We will pay your return airfare and once you arrive in the UK we will organise for you to be met at the airport and brought to our RMO house in Aylesbury, where you will spend the first weekend as a non-paying guest. We pay your General Medical Council (GMC) fees and cover the cost of renewing these each year.
As your employer, NES contributes to the costs associated
with gaining your Advanced Life Support (ALS - also know as
ACLS),
European Paediatric Life Support (EPLS - or PALS/APLS), your
malpractice insurance
and will organise
your Work Permit/Worker Registration Scheme (WRS).
We will also arrange your Enhanced Disclosure with the
Criminal Records Bureau.
